Coincidental Events that Determined the Outcome of Shakespeare's Romeo and JulietRomeo and Juliet is a classic, historical and very important play. Many people have watch or read about it and it is very well known for its intense story line that William Shakespeare wrote about in the late 1500s. Fate, loss of self control and timing all big roles in almost every scene and if they didn’t occur when they did, things would of turned out much differently. In Romeo and Juliet if the coincidental events has not occurs things would of turn out much differently. One of the events that were very crucial to the play was when Romeo and Juliet met because of fate. It all started out when the servant who wouldn’t speak any English happened to give Romeo an invitation to the feast which was being held by Juliet’s father. Romeo shows up with his friends and happens to spot out Juliet, he finds she is so beautiful and falls in love. “What lady is that which doth enrich the hand? Or yonder Knight? (Romeo, Act 1 Scene 5)” If Romeo had not been near the servant at that time he would of never knew about the ball and would have never met Juliet. This scene was the main scene to get Romeo and Juliet started. Later on in the play, Romeo and his friends happen to be at the wrong spot at the wrong time and end up running into Tybalt and his friends.
