Wild Side Summary

Charlie Newell a clever 18 year old student and his friends Clara, his girlfriend, Rick, who has a very over protective mother, Marie, a girl he used to like, Joey, who is addicted to alcohol and he was convicted of DWI, graduated from high school in Texas. Charlie is 18 years old and his main interest is flying airplanes, also he is very sensitive to other’s feelings, and he is the main character in the story. Charlie’s scheme to make money to become very rich starts on a ranch passed on to him by his dead uncle Max. Charlie found a portal to an alternate world or universe also known as Wild Side, (located in the barn of his ranch) the world has not been discovered or touched by humans, the Wild Side is full of extinct and non- extinct species such as bison, cranes, wolves, tigers, bears, passenger pigeons, saber tooth tigers, mastodons and mammoths. His goal is to mine the land for gold. In order to earn some money, he anonymously sells twenty extinct passenger pigeons to four zoos all over the United States. He got the extinct passenger pigeons from the Wild Side.
Charlie and his friends set up an organization known as, (WILD SIDE INVESTMENTS), with the help of a lawyer (Luis) who does not ask too many questions.
