Personal Narrative- Personality Traits that Benefit My Work Performance
After taking the GEMS test I must say that I am definitely a goal oriented thinker and a team
strategist. The assessment revealed most of the traits that I knew that I possess to include the fact that I dislike my current job position, my high level of motivation. The fact that I am a self directed individual who does not always have to be in a leadership position. I also work more effective when given clear and precise directions. I was aware of all the traits that were listed in my personal assessment. I agree with everything except portion that portrayed to be someone who is not flexible and is unable to adapt to last minute changes.
As a goal motivated thinker I will do everything in my power to accomplish the mission. My
satisfaction comes from being successful so even though I dislike being a parts specialist in the army, it is important that I do my best because my effectiveness is detrimental to the unit’s success or failure. In today’s society it is important to adapt and overcome obstacles in order to be successful even if that obstacle is your position at work.
I am a time orientated individual, I prefer to have my work scheduled and all events prioritized
