A View From the BridgeThe opening of the play is a important aspect, this is due to it lures the audiences attention by introducing the main characters, in addition it introduces the different types of themes there are in the play. In the play we are informed about the main characters like Alfieri, Eddie, Beatrice and Catherine right from the beginning, this then allows the audience to acknowledge the different themes like which will in contrast be important throughout the playWe are then introduced to Alfieri is given the impression that he is a narrator throughout the and then present our first views of the characters. At the beginning of the play alfieri introduces the settings as a typical American home that has no space and completely crowded .He later on discuses his thoughts of the community, and there thoughts upon the broken trust the community has on law, so now the community now put the law into there own hands, as quoted” .there were many who were justly shot by unjust men” this mean that what the community sees justice in a different way to the justice the law has. They also refer lawyers and priest as unlucky because they were only thought in connection with disaster. Alfieri then hints that there might be deaths in the play by saying sat there as powerless as I, watch it run its bloody course.
