Almost Anyone Can Govern a Nation

I believe that people can be trusted to govern. I believe that the people of a nation should be able to have a say in what happens to them. People should be able to have a say in the laws that are made, people that are elected as representatives for them in the government, when and how much taxes go up or down and many other governmental functions. Almost every person can be trusted to govern, except the clinically insane or mentally handicapped. The only reason I say that is some people aren’t in the right state of mind to make good well thought decisions about serious things like the fate of a nation. Although overall most of the population of every nation is capable of making good governing decisions.
I agree with Abigail Adams because she believed in the people’s right to govern very strongly. She also believed that women and Slaves had equal rights to everyone else. She believed that women should not submit to laws not made in their interest. She wrote very passionately in letters to her husband John Adams, saying things like, “…remember the ladies, and be more generous and favorable to them than your ancestors. Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the Husbands. Remember all Men would be tyrants if they could.
