The Pros and Cons of Changing the Driving Age to EighteenAn issue that has been discussed for ages is should the driving age be eight-teen. Many people feel that it is better for a child to learn as much as they can when it comes to driving. They do not want to have their child out on the road just learning what not to do while driving. These people actually want them to have the proper set of skills before eighteen. Then there are the people who may be a bit overprotective and would like for their child to wait till the age of eight-teen to drive. This may because they think that their child will try something stupid before that age. So I will discuss the pros and the cons of teens having to wait till they’re eight-teen to drive. One good thing about the driving age being raised to eight-teen is that there will be fewer deaths. Just last year two/thirds of teens that were involved in a car accident and died were not even wearing a seat-belt. So as you can see parents need to tell their children that is very important to wear their seat-belt every single time they step into a car. Also fifty-three percent of teen driver deaths occur on the weekend. This is because teens like to have their bit of fun over the weekend, and they feel that they deserve it since they worked all week.
