My Career
MY CAREER Career is the one thing that should be decided by your skills, your interest and the most important of them all your personality. Over the past couple of months, I took some online surveys and skills inventory quizzes to help me figure out what would interest me the most. The career it helped me choose is Sonography. Sonography, also known as ultrasound, is a medical procedure that diagnoses human organs, tissues and blood flow inside the body while using high frequency sound waves giving great dynamic vision.
When taking the personality quiz it helped me find out a lot about myself such as, what are the things that I am good at and what I can do to improve myself? Some of the positive response that I got were that I am really good at doing practical work, I am sincere, patient, and loyal most of the time and very good at time management. Some of the negative response would be that I m not very careful, neat and persistent with my work. Everyone has a goal set up for them that they are working on; my main goal would be to work on my weaknesses and become a better person in life.
After deciding my major; I did some research on what I will need and what are the requirements to get into the program. While researching I found out that Sonography is a 1 to 4 years program which does not require medical school. The reason being that is, they are not becoming physicians, but instead a trained professional in a specialized field . . . read more.
