The Song I Would Write on Poetry on ColorThe title makes think about a man that writes a letter to his brother on a table in a small house. I think also about the brother that will receive this letter. In my head the brother is very happy to have received the letter. The title makes me also to think about the poems and my own brother, Alec. I think the poem subject is the tolerance of others. The message that the author wants to transmit is to accept others no matter what color they are or religion that they practice. One should not say the discriminatory or racist remarks only because a person is different. Everyone unique and different . The message was rather evident and easy to find. It talks about the black and white men, so I knew immediately after reading, that it was on the subject of the differences and accepting the others. The last line was a big hint also. I felt happy after reading this poem. But, then again a bit sad, for there always is a competition between the black and white people. There is nonetheless of discrimination, even if everyone is equal here to Canada. I liked the message of the poem and it was funny too. A new very interesting manner to express discrimination. When you think about our skins in this manner, you realize that white people are really the ones with the colored skin and not the black people. If I had the luck to create a song from this poem, the style would be a little rock and a little pop. . . . read more. |
