Technology has advanced greatly during the past century. It has come to a point where they are able to unlock the genetic code of humans, and gain information about individuals. This technology has many benefits; scientists are able to view the problems in your genetic code, and possibly fix it, and prevent more severe problems from occurring. However, this technology may cause an international problem. In the future, employers, schools, insurance companies, and others may gain access to your genetic information. There is a possibility that they may begin to judge you according to your genetics in order for them to make the best decision for their own benefits. For example, employers will view your genetic information and if they discover that you have a possibility of developing a disease later on in your life, it is most likely that they will hire someone else so that they won’t have to deal with the risk. This may be convenient for them, but it is unfair for the individual. The public doesn’t have the rights to access your genetic information, and most importantly, base their decisions according to your genetics. I believe that people should be treated fairly, and something like this should be prevented from happening in the future.
