The Absurdity of the Las Vegas' Wedding Industry Illustrated in Didion's Story, Marrying Absurd“Marrying Absurd”, marriage has been completely denatured. And that’s all! The author continues with a detailed description of the places in Las Vegas, the mechanisms and the advertising market linked to that absurd way of putting up wedding ceremonies. Chapels in chain – 19 is the author’s figure – are devoted to that particular service and, long before reaching the city, one can see bizarre ads like the following: “GETTING MARRIED? free license Information First Strip Exit”, . . . read more. |
