Personal Narrative: My Conception of God First of all it is important that I qualify that my view of the Lord is not a derived conception from my intellect, but rather privileged revelation bestowed upon me by the Grace of God. If asked his conception of me, my closest friend or sibling would not answer in terms of far off observation, he would speak from his experiences and first hand knowledge of my character. I do not speak of God from a far off, separated position, a view delivered to me by theologians, or popular society. Thanks to the sacrifice made by Christ, I no longer have sin to separate me from God. Sin divides man from God, that was the consequence for Adam’s transgression in the garden. It took the Lamb slain to be the propitiation for our sins and re-unite us with the loving God who created man in His exact image, gave us His speaking spirit, and with the soul purpose of fellowship. God does not bludgeon His children with His commands, nor does he punish them into submission. For that matter, God doesn’t invoke wrath on the unbelievers, at least not while His body is in the earth. God has and continues to give every person, every chance and opportunity to receive Christ’s free gift and walk in the blessings designed for man. God draws by His love and by His love alone.
