What is Racism?

“the belief that each race or ethnic group posses a specific characteristics, abilities or quality’s that distinguish it as inferior or superior to another” (oxford English dictionary definition")
Racism is when someone is being made feel different because of the way they look speaking or act.
Racism is a problem all over the world. And although it’s against the law it still happens. For example the universal declaration of rights states
“All human beings are born free and equal, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status”
This is declaring that no matter who you are, what you look like or where you come from we are all the same, we all have a right to be treated the same as everyone else.
Since the 1940’s the United Nations has encouraged countries to enforce laws against racial discrimination.
