My Experience Growing Up in a Single-Parent Household
Abstract

Do you know how it feel to grow up in a single- parent home? Growing up in a single-parent is very difficult to cope with. It deals with taking on all the responsibilities in the household. Going through all the bad affects as im growing up without a father figure. It was also hard to develop a healthy relationship with my mom and two younger siblings. Growing up in single- parent home caused me to react differently than other normal teens. Not only was it hard at home it had an affect on me at school and work. My sisters would always stress about not having a father figure to my mother. It seems like I had to work harder in everything that I did because it felt like my best wasn’t good enough. Seeing that it’s only me, my sisters, and mother we all had to depend on each other through our hard times. Life just didn’t seem to get easier as times moved on. Growing up in a single-parent home made me a better person and a responsible young adult. Not only did it make me a better person and more responsible it helped me to see a whole new prospective life‘s values.
